You should receive a notice from the state regarding your license renewal in the mail approximately 4-6 weeks before your birthday of your renewal year. This letter will include how to renew online and the personalized authorization code needed to renew.
Please note, you can contact the state at any time to request your code by emailing the Massachusetts State Board of Licensure at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once this code has been added to your account, it will not be needed again.
Once your license is linked to your account, your renewal link will appear 90 days prior to your your renewal date. If you have completed your continuing education, you can renew your license at any point once the link is showing in your account. Please see the image below to clarify the renewal link we are referring to.
According to state guidelines, you must complete 12 hours of Continuing Education (CE) before you can renew your license as active. Each Massachusetts approved CE course is two hours long, and worth 2 credits. One of the most significant benefits you get as a member of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS® is access to a variety of free continuing education classes. Please see below to register for classes through CCIAOR or to take CE classes online through the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®:
