Code of Ethics deadline approaches at end of year

As a Realtor® you are required to complete ethics training. The current four-year cycle will end Dec. 31, 2016. Failure to meet the requirement by the Dec 31st deadline is a violation of a membership requirement and results in suspension of REALTOR® and MLS membership.

THIS IS NOT a requirement for renewing your license like continuing education. It is, however, required by the National Association of REALTORS® so you may continue as a member of the Association! Remember it is the real estate commission that governs your license, and the REALTOR® Association is a different entity.

Note that if you completed the training online or at another location, we need a copy of the certificate to update your record. Certificates must be emailed to:

While CCIAOR has offered the Ethics course more than dozen times this year free of cost, it is offering no more live classes this year. As such, you must take the ethics class online – see directions below.

To take Code of Ethics free via the Massachusetts REALTOR® Online Learning Center:
Click here to register to take MAR’s online classes, then here to access the online course.

Note this is a free course as part of your MAR membership – please make sure your popup blocker is off to allow you to add the membership $0.00 price to your cart.  Additionally, if you are not a CRS member you will skip this portion of the registration. Note you will receive 2 Continuing Education credits for completing the course online.

If you have any issues taking the class online or registering for MAR’s online learning center – please contact their support line at 877-762-9322.

Once you complete the course, email your certificate to:

If you do not send us a copy of your certificate, we will not have a record of your completion and your membership will be suspended until we receive the certificate.
